Kristin Fisher joined CNN on 20 July 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she's responsible covering everything from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space companies, and even the rise and development of tourism to space. Being the child of 2 NASA astronauts Kristin has a background in the space industry and was a part of the space industry for five years, covering the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. Kristin also covered presidential impeachment proceedings as well as the presidential campaign for 2020 and the efforts of two administrations in order to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Additionally, she was a frequent traveler with President Trump as well as the Vice President often. This included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Kristin was a television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter, before joining CBS in the year 2015. Kristin as adept at filmmaking, launched Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary style films, for clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin lives with husband, daughter, and her 3-year-old daughter in Washington, D.C.
